Law firm Taylors recently acted for
lecturers at the University of Manchester in securing a grant to
develop life-changing technology in the world of cancer research.
ViBio Limited operating through the University of Manchester
secured a £100,000 funding package to develop a commercial
diagnostic testing tool which aims to reduce the full surgical
procedure that can be required for cervical cancer patients.
This breakthrough in cervical cancer testing led by Ian and Lynne
Hampson operates by using indicators from cervical smear tests to
assess the likelihood of various lesions going on to develop full
cervical cancer.
The funding was provided by Liverpool Ventures Limited and Liverpool
Seed Fund who are leading fund providers in harnessing the potential
of intellectual property and technology in its early stages.
