Belfield and
Global Textiles (UK) Limited have
announced that they have reached
terms for the settlement of
Belfield's copyright infringement
claims against Global. Belfield
issue proceedings in the high court
on 8 February 2011, which were
defended by Global.
And interim injunction was granted
to Belfield by Mr Justice Peter
Smith on 1 March 2011 and an order
made for a speedy trial to take
place on or after 16 May 2011.
In a statement provided to Cabinet
Maker the company said "Belfield and
Global are pleased to announce that
an agreement has now been reached
for settlement on the basis that
Global will pay an agreed sum in
damages to Belfield, and will pay
Belfield's costs to be assessed by
the court if not agreed".
Belfield was represented in the
proceedings by Taylors Solicitors of
