Last Thursday was the second bi-annual Business Exchange event held in Burnley, this time, the theme was Growth and Expansion, specifically looking at the available growth funding in East Lancashire, property aspects of growing your business, and finally being well prepared for exit. The event, held at UTC Lancashire was attended by some of the local areas most prolific business people and attracted some of the most knowledgeable speakers in East Lancashire.
Hosted by Taylors Solicitors and supported by The Chamber of Commerce, Burnley Council, and Lancashire Business View, the event aims to provide insight, knowledge and practical advice to local companies.
Opening speaker, Mike Beckett of the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce presented on growth funding available through the chamber, he comments, 'The Business Exchange provides a great communication forum for the exciting opportunities that there are for business in the area, we are looking forward to getting more involved in the forum going forward'.
Following Mike, Burnley council gave a roundup of potential property developments in the area and how best to go about moving. Lawyers from Taylors then presented on the legal angle, taking the delegates through the legal aspects of moving property and how to prepare your exit strategy.
Peter Byrne of Taylors commented; “It is very clear that there are some great things happening in Burnley, and it is fantastic to host this event to hopefully contribute towards this continuing business development.”
