When the Taylors team started its ‘Steptember’ challenge in aid of Scope, little did we realise that by the end of the month, we’d have taken more than 6,000,000 steps between us and conquered the virtual ‘summits’ of seven of the world’s highest mountains!
The team has also raised more than £1,000 for the fantastic cause through sponsorship from friends, family and clients; a ‘Dress Down Friday’ and our very talented bakers, Charlotte, Liz and Alison, selling their delicious goodies (which made everyone even more determined to put the extra effort in and do those extra steps!).
For most office workers, the average number of steps each day is as low as 2,500, so we saw this as a great opportunity to get more active, have some fun and raise funds for disabled people and their families.
And the Challenge doesn't stop there for some of us – Tom Saville from our Employment team has committed to cycle 100 miles in a day on 25 October to add to our fundraising for Scope!
