Role
Andrew specialises in the area of business restructuring
and turnaround solutions and all aspects of insolvency work.
His client base is a wide range of insolvency practitioners
and turnaround consultants. He has also established a
particular niche in advising management of small and medium
sized business on company work-outs and restructures where
the emphasis is on protecting shareholder value and
continuity of the business.
The key to Andrew’s success, and the reason why he is highly
regarded as a leader in his field, is his blend of strong
technical knowledge, formidable negotiating skills and sound
commercial judgement.
Experience
Andrew has taken on the role of key advisor on a wide range
of corporate work-outs and restructurings, including
substantial regionally based companies in the printing,
manufacturing, transport and distribution, retail, import
and construction sectors. He has also been involved in
numerous “big ticket” insolvencies advising lenders,
insolvency professionals and management.
He is a QEGS old boy and Durham law graduate who initially
trained in Manchester with the firm now known as DWF. He
then spent 10 years as an equity partner and Head of
Insolvency at Halliwells until 2000 when he joined Taylors.
Profile
Andrew is a keen follower of Blackburn Rovers and Sale
Sharks. He also likes to spend his time afloat indulging his
passion for boats where he holds various qualifications as a
skipper.
