Taylors solicitors has advised support services company, Kingdom, over its acquisition of integrated facilities management services provider, Ocean.
Based in Luton, Ocean has a £20 million turnover, three offices across the UK and 2,200 staff.
The acquisition continues the expansion of Kingdom to £105 million turnover and 5,600 employees.
Given the size and multi-disciplinary nature of the deal, Andrew Livesey, Peter Crewe and Angela Bhaseen from Taylors worked together to ensure a successful outcome.
The Taylors team helped ensure the contract details were negotiated and completed within a relatively short timescale.
Andrew Livesey said:
“This was a significant transaction for both parties which was completed in a short timescale. The Taylors team worked hard to resolve any issues and to deliver a successful outcome. It was a pleasure working with the team at Kingdom again as they are a dynamic and focussed business.”
Nigel Whittle, external financial director for Kingdom said: “Taylors acted with speed and efficiency, to help ensure the acquisition proceeded as smoothly as possible. Kingdom has worked with their teams on previous deals and always been happy with the service and advice we’ve received.”
Terry Barton, chief executive of Kingdom welcomed the deal saying: “The acquisition strengthens Kingdom’s services in facilities management and will enable Kingdom to grow further in the coming years.”
