One of the UK’s fast-growing security companies has expanded by buying Group Response Global (GRG) out of administration.

Kingdom Security bought the rival Yorkshire-based firm securing 100 of the 112 jobs that were at risk.

The Manchester office of award winning North West law firm Taylors Solicitors acted on behalf of St Helens-based Kingdom Security on the rescue deal.

Established in 1993, Kingdom Security supplies fully-licensed security guards, mobile patrols and key holding services and is now one of the largest UK wide manned guarding specialists working with organisations such as the NHS, Lidl and The University of Manchester.

Terry Barton, Managing Director of Kingdom Security said: “We are delighted to continue our national expansion with the acquisition of GRG. When opportunities like this arise we like to take them and strengthen our client base.”

Partner Andrew Livesey, who led the Taylors team, said: "We are very pleased to be retained by Kingdom on the latest of several strategic acquisitions. The capture of GRG extends Kingdom Security's growing national coverage into Yorkshire.

“The deal was closed quickly by close effective team work between the Taylors corporate team and Kingdom’s management team".
