The North
West’s only solely commercial law
firm has strengthened its
foundations by appointing leading
construction lawyer,
Chris Scott.
Chris joins
Blackburn-based Taylors Solicitors
as a Partner, heading up the
Construction team, from the
Liverpool office of DWF LLP’s
Construction and Engineering
Division, after spending five years
building Preston and Manchester
based Ricksons, before its merge
with DWF in 2007.
With over 20 years experience in
construction work, Chris is well
known on the recent Tythebarn
Project in Preston and has acted for
big names including Norwich Union,
QBE and Lloyds Syndicates.
Elaine Hurn, Managing Partner at
Taylors said: "Chris is a great
addition to the team, his knowledge
and depth of experience means we can
provide a ‘one stop shop’ dealing
with all aspects of construction
work for our clients."
Originally from the North East,
Chris has spent most of his working
life in Preston where he has
developed his impressive reputation
in the building and engineering
arena.
Chris added: "I am really pleased
to be joining a dynamic firm with a
reputation for getting things done,
for bottom line advice and for
exceptional quality. Taylors'
successes demonstrate the ability
and quality of commercial advice
available locally".
"Chris' reputation for ensuring
that documentation is right the
first time and for pursuing disputes
to a successful conclusion is second
to none. His work on large value and
complex litigation matters means he
will be an asset to the Taylors
team," explained Elaine.
