Leanne is a solicitor in our Employment team acting
predominantly on behalf of employers in the private sector,
from small family-run companies, to large PLCs.
Leanne works on both contentious and non-contentious
matters including acting on behalf of employers defending
unfair dismissal, discrimination and other claims in the
Employment Tribunal, advising on employment contracts,
policies and procedures, drafting and advising on compromise
agreements and other termination arrangements, and providing
general HR and employment law support.
Background
Leanne gained a First Class degree in English with
History before converting to law and subsequently completing
the Legal Practice Course. Before joining Taylors, Leanne
paralegalled and then trained at Eversheds LLP in
Manchester.

Leanne lives locally with her fiancé and their two cats!
Leanne enjoys keeping fit, attending step aerobics and
bodypump classes regularly at her local sports centre, as
well as running, most recently completing the Edinburgh 10k.
Leanne also enjoys reading, in particular “chick-lit” and
history books.

What is your favourite film?
Probably Shawshank Redemption although there is an
ongoing joke that I have seen only the first ten minutes of
every film because I always fall asleep!
What was the last CD you bought?
I am more of an iTunes-girl, but the last album I bought
was Glee! – which probably says a lot about me…!
Where is your dream holiday destination?
Somewhere hot and dry, secluded, luxurious and exotic –
I am definitely not a lover of camping
If you could have any job in the world what would it
be?
Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer or judge
What is your favourite magazine?
Either Grazia or OK!
What book are you reading now?
“All Hell Broke Loose” by Max Hastings
What was your first car?
A Peugeot 206 – which I am still driving now!
