Chris is an insolvency specialist with extensive
experience in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious
insolvency. His clients include accountants and insolvency
practitioners who rely on him as a key advisor.
Chris adopts a results-driven approach to his work and is
renowned for his ability to develop innovative solutions. He
is highly regarded as an effective and efficient operator
and as one of the region’s leading insolvency lawyers.
Experience
Chris deals with both personal and corporate insolvency and
has substantial expertise in:
- asset realisation and recovery
- business transfers and restructures
- validity of appointment
- landlord and tenant issues
- IVAs and debt management
- retention of title
- debt recovery
- directors’ liability including disqualification
- antecedent transactions
He has acted on various high profile cases ranging
from complex business disposals to high value insolvency
litigation. Chris also offers assistance to company
directors advising on potential personal liability and
disqualification proceedings.
An Oxford Graduate, Chris started his first tenure in
Taylors’ insolvency department as a newly qualified
solicitor in 2003. After a brief stint away from the
fold he returned as a partner in 2009. Profile
Apart from supporting Blackburn Rovers, Chris’ main
interests include science fiction popular culture and
amateur dramatics. Chris lives with his wife and two
children in the Ribble Valley where he can often be
found trying to jog.
