Angela joined Taylors in June 2015 to head up the firm's Commercial Property department.
She previously headed the newly formed property department at a niche litigation firm in Cheshire. Prior to this Angela was a partner at national firms DWF and Cobbetts.
Angela has a wide range of real estate experience having qualified in 2000. She has acted for a variety of clients including PLC's, limited companies, private companies & trusts, charities and high net worth individuals.
Angela has particular expertise in the occupier sector acting for national retailers, logistic operators, banks and other lenders. The properties dealt with have included, stand alone and mixed use sites, retail, leisure and industrial parks, office buildings, shopping centres and the high street. She also works with property owners, investors and developers, administrators, liquidators and undertaken property finance and corporate support work for both commercial and residential properties.
Angela has headed a number of major projects consisting of high volume acquisitions within a short time frame, refinancing the whole of a client's property portfolio and disposing of properties as part of a sale of a business.
She takes a pragmatic and commercial approach in order to get the best results for her clients and offers strategic advice so that the deal can be completed within the timeframe required.
She is a trustee on the board of Walk the Plank, outdoor arts experts and recently acquired their new head office premises in Salford.
Angela was born in Manchester and enjoys travelling, reiki, Pilates and relaxation. She has just completed her level 2 reiki attunement, next stage Reiki Master!
What’s your favourite film?
It has to be Dirty Dancing especially for those two infamous lines, "Nobody puts baby in a corner" and "I carried a watermelon!"
What was your first job?
At a jewellers, I learnt to repair watches, change batteries and change their straps at a tender age of fifteen. After this I worked at Top Shop and this started my clothes, shoes and handbag obsession!
What was the first record you ever bought?
KC and the Sunshine Band, Give It Up
Who's your hero and why?
Mahatma Gandhi. He fought for independence and who knows what my heritage would be if it wasn't for this great man. My parents were born in Amritsar which played a pivotal part in Ghandi's fight for freedom.
If you weren't a lawyer what would you have been?
Presenter or reporter as I am inquisitive and like talking. Presenting Watchdog would be ideal - Anne Robinson watch out!
What is your dream holiday destination?
The Maldives. To arrive on an exotic island in a sea plane would be fabulous in itself.
What is your favourite magazine?
Glamour (especially when lying on a sun lounger abroad) and Didsbury Magazine.
What was your first car?
A silver Mini Cooper (new version). Petite but perfectly formed, just like myself!
